A recall has been issued for free range eggs in Queensland with contamination likely to cause salmonella if eaten.

Pasture-raised free range eggs in 350 and 700 gram containers from Watson Family Produce are included in the recall.
The eggs were sold across Queensland, including at Woolworths and IGA stores, and Harris Farm in West End, Clayfield and Surfers Paradise.
Eggs have best before dates up to and including February 25, 2023.
"The recall is due to potential microbial (salmonella) contamination. Food products contaminated with salmonella may cause illness if consumed," the recall notice from Food Standards Australia New Zealand states.
Consumers are warned not to eat these eggs and return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

Symptoms start between six hours and seven days after you have been infected and may include:
- fever
- diarrhoea
- loss of appetite
- headache
- stomach cramps
- nausea and vomiting
- blood or mucus in stools (poo)
